Organize and participate in a special campaign to help build awareness of and support for NetsforLife® in your school, church or community.

Need Ideas for Raising Money and Awareness?

1.Challenge every person in your school, sports teams, company and congregation to “Skip a lunch. Send a net. Save a life.”

2.Wear a net to work. Provide a square net and blue ribbon to each member to signify commitment and raise awareness.

3.Invite friends or your employer to sponsor or match you in raising money to buy bed nets.

4.Nickels for Nets: Encourage people to fill a jar with pocket change.

5.Sale, Sale, Sale: Polish your cooking skills for a bake sale or clean your closets for a yard sale.

6.Silent Auction: Seek donations of items related to nets. Examples include basketball game tickets, tennis lessons and a fishing vacation.

7.Twelve-Day Fast: As a group, decide on something you might purchase each day for $1. Give up that item for 12 days and "earn" $12 to buy a net. Emphasize fasting with a purpose.

8.Thirty-Second Hoop Shoot: Give volunteers 30 seconds each to make as many baskets as possible. Solicit a certain amount for each basket made.

9.Three-on-Three Tournament: Invite basketball players from your church or community to pay $12 entry fees per person. Each team will buy three nets simply by entering.

10.Raise awareness in your community about malaria by sending a news release to your local news outlets, highlighting your participation a NetsforLife® campaign.
